We think job seekers deserve to know what they are walking into.
Most people spend hours preparing for interviews. They research the company, rehearse their answers, read everything they can find. And then they walk in and the process is nothing like what they imagined. Not because they did not prepare. Because the information they needed did not exist.
Candidoor is our attempt to fix that.
Structured intelligence — not a review platform
Candidoor is a structured interview process intelligence platform. Candidates log what actually happened during their hiring journey — the stages, the formats, the timelines, the communication — using guided templates. No essays. No star ratings. No venting about a bad experience.
Just honest, structured data about how hiring processes actually work. Stage by stage. Company by company.
That data becomes useful to two groups of people. Candidates preparing for interviews who want to know what is coming. And employers who want to understand how their process looks from the outside.
Every industry. Every role. The same gap.
Whether you are a software engineer, a financial analyst, a nurse, a marketing manager, or a logistics coordinator — you have probably walked into an interview not knowing what to expect. Not because you did not prepare. You researched the company. You rehearsed your answers. You read everything you could find. But nobody told you how many rounds there would be, what they would actually assess you on, how long the whole thing would take, or whether the company even bothers to follow up when it is over.
Because that information does not exist anywhere in a useful form.
No industry has figured out how to make its hiring process transparent to the people going through it. The format changes. The company changes. The sector changes. The country changes. The gap between what companies think they communicate and what candidates actually experience stays the same everywhere — in technology startups and global banks, in hospitals and retailers, in manufacturing plants and consulting firms.
Hiring processes have been a black box for a long time. Not out of malice — most companies simply do not have visibility into how their process feels from the outside. Recruiters are busy. Hiring managers are focused on finding the right person. Nobody is systematically collecting what candidates actually experienced and feeding it back in a useful way.
That is the gap Candidoor is built for. Any candidate, interviewing for any role, at any company, anywhere in the world. The information that helps you walk in prepared should not depend on who you know, what industry you are in, or how many people you managed to find on LinkedIn who went through the same process three years ago.
It should just exist. Structured. Anonymous. Free.
Three things we will not compromise on
Early days. Real product. Growing community.
Candidoor launched in May 2026 and is actively building its founding community of candidates. We are Canada-first — not Canada-only. Any candidate anywhere in the world interviewing with a company can log their experience and contribute to the community.
Every thread logged makes the platform more useful for every candidate who comes after. The more people contribute, the richer the intelligence becomes — across more companies, more roles, and more industries.
We are at the beginning. The data is thin right now. We know that. Every platform like this starts that way. What makes it work is the first few hundred people who decide the idea is worth contributing to before it is obvious.
Better information. Better process. For everyone.
We are not trying to name and shame companies. We are not trying to rank employers or create a leaderboard of who treats candidates best. We are trying to give both sides better information so the process gets better for everyone.
When candidates know what to expect they prepare more effectively and show up with more confidence. When employers can see how their process actually feels from the outside they can fix the parts that are broken. Both of those things are good for hiring.
That is it. That is the whole idea.
