Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what candidates and employers can and cannot do on Candidoor. It exists to protect the integrity of the community data and the safety of everyone who contributes to it.

1. For candidates — what you can log

  • The stages you went through — application, screening, interviews, assessment, offer or rejection.
  • The format of each interview round — phone call, video, in-person, panel, case study, technical test.
  • The timeline — how long each stage took and the total duration of the process.
  • What you were assessed on — behavioural questions, technical knowledge, case studies, culture fit.
  • The communication quality — how responsive and transparent the company was throughout.
  • Whether preparation materials were provided and what they were.
  • Your overall experience rating and transparency score.
  • Red flags you encountered — from a structured list of options.
  • Word chips describing the process — from a structured list of options.
  • The outcome — offer, rejection, ghost, withdrawal, or ongoing.

2. For candidates — what you cannot log

  • The full name of any recruiter, hiring manager, or interviewer.
  • Salary figures, compensation ranges, equity offers, or any financial details.
  • Personal criticism of specific individuals involved in your interview.
  • Content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or exaggerated.
  • Content that discriminates on the basis of race, gender, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Content submitted on behalf of a third party or without personal experience of the process described.
  • Promotional content or content submitted for commercial purposes.
  • Content generated by AI tools without genuine personal experience behind it.

3. For employers — what you can do

  • Claim your company profile and maintain your Verified status by keeping your subscription active.
  • Access aggregate process analytics for your own claimed company.
  • Submit responses to aggregate themes — reviewed and approved by Candidoor before publishing.
  • Share your company profile link with candidates who have interviewed at your company.
  • Export your data if you are on the Pro plan.

4. For employers — what you cannot do

  • Create a candidate account to access Prep Intelligence Reports or individual feeds. This is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of all accounts.
  • Claim a company you are not an authorised representative of.
  • Use Candidoor data to identify or attempt to identify anonymous candidate contributors.
  • Use aggregate data to retaliate against candidates or adjust hiring decisions.
  • Share your employer dashboard access with third parties.
  • Use Candidoor data for purposes other than improving your own hiring process.

5. Enforcement

Violations of this policy are handled under the moderation framework described in our Terms of Service. Candidoor reserves the right to remove content, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate access for violations of this policy without prior notice in severe cases. Appeals can be submitted to legal@candidoor.ca within 14 days of any moderation action.

6. Reporting violations

If you believe content on Candidoor violates this policy — raise a support ticket at candidoor.ca/support or email us at hello@candidoor.ca. We review every report and take action within 48 hours.
